Harold "Hal" Hobbs is a former American football player and coach in the National Football League (NFL). He was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 1979 to 1985 and the Atlanta Falcons from 1986 to 1995. He also served as head coach for the Washington Redskins in 1996 and 1997, compiling a record of 23–27–1. Hobbs was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1982
